Me an a few buds are going to Jennings FL at the end of this week for some track days. Anyone else hitting those days. Tips, first time for me.

There's a lot more mass in your upper body than your lower. Get your head out over the mirrors, don't hang your butt off further than your shoulders. Nobody thinks they ride crossed up in the corners, but a ton of people do. Start by keeping your butt planted and getting your upper body leaned way off the bike before you get in the habit of hanging you ass off the seat. It will train your brain to not cross you up.
When in doubt, choose a late apex. It's not always the fastest, but will give you the best visibility.
Find a rider coach, go out with them for a few laps, and listen to their advice. You can read all you want in books and online, and watch all the DVDs out there, but they can't replace one on one instruction with a qualified coach.
Remember, smooth is fast. Herky jerky riding feels fast, but it's a sure fire way to get passed in the corners, and could unsettle the chassis enough to cause a crash in extreme situations. Smooth is fast.

Don't forget your gonna beat on your bike, so trailer it there and take basic tools. It may help someone else too.
Read all you can about suspension tuning so even if you don't touch a screw, you'll know what to look for/feel.
Meet as many people as you can, but only take advise from the obvious pro's.
What are the safety check requirements? You may need the belt guard you took off and left in the garage...
Good tires? triple check for nails etc.
Good belt?
FLUSH the brake fluid with NEW DOT 4!
Take extra fuel, once again maybe it's for someone else. Never too much good Karma!
Safety wire the shifter bolts!
ATGATT.
Never look at your front wheel when riding.
And you'll never win, because you're not racing. So go at the fastest pace you can still THINK at, and never mind your faster buddy who is tailgating you. If he's that fast, he'll pass you in the corner. Maybe on his side:p
Then tell us about it with pics! I know I'm jealous already!

I'm removing turn signals, mirrors, tail/brake light, headlights and passenger peg structure. 2000 miles ago i replaced all dot 4 and brakes. Just changed oils an stator. I reinstalled all guards and factory exhaust. Bike is 100% back to stock even air filter. Jennings recommend removing kickstand but i safety wired it awhile ago. Also bought an extra belt to take with. First belt went at 12k an im at 31k now so on borrowed time already. Trying to get my TPS reset today. For ****s an giggles i think im gonna run 110 octane.

Stick with pump gas. The only performance gain you'll see from 110 is some weight reduction in your wallet.
Also, why not tape the lights? Removing them all seems way overkill for a track day.
Good idea to go through fluids and brakes. Good on you.
Oh! Bring a tire pump and a good gauge.

Mainly taking it off so if i do lay it down less parts to buy and turn signals are only one nut and two wire connectors. Headlights will be simple to get to since the front shield is held on by mirrors, turnsignals (removing already) and 2 screws.

Jennings was a great experience. Track had a few pot holes but you get use to them. Started in Novice class (my first time on a track) an l hit slower traffic every lap.
