I finally received my throttle cables and after installing them I noticed they were too long. The HD dealer has now looked at my bike and told me it was because my bike is a Jap import.

Does this sound correct? I can't see why the cable lengths would be different. If there are diffences, can someone tell what else may be different?

BTW... It a 2007 xb12Ss

maybe the dealer ordered cables for an ugly or got receipt of instead or by mistake.

there is no difference in handle bars etc around the world. just differences between models. for example, a lightnings bottom steering bearings is 4mm smaller than that of a lightning.

i would ask them to confirm what they ordered and what they received.
