Rode my bike to work for the first time today, normally drive but i had an urge to remove the cover for the day..
Spent all day looking at it and explaining it to people that are amazed and confused as to what it is. My workmate said he would give his "left nut" to ride it, but a left nut is no good to me if he crashed it.
So another happy day of riding!!

I love riding my bike to work as well. I work 3rd shift so my XB gets pretty lonely in the lot all by itself, but when 7:00 rolls around, its friends start to show up. Even if they are 3 Gold Wing trikes (yes they park on the motorcycle concrete) and a Harley Bagger lol.

maybe a little more power but other than that no my buell is in the top 5 best bikes ive owned.

Well....if your asking.....A six speed...XB9 gears in the XB12.... hydraulic clutch..... HID headlamps.....LED tails and turn signals.....off-road cam..... bigger jugs.....off road tune..... ceramic coated exhaust...... better muffler.... better rear brake.... ok that pretty much sums it up. LOL

I agree that the buell xb is an extremely fun and enjoyable platform right out of the box. I used to commute on mine and loved every mile. Now that I built a rather exotic version, I don't feel comfortable leaving it outside unattended so I only use it for joy rides.

Lawdog: everything on your wishlist can be accomplished except for the 6 speed. Just gotta bust out the benjamins lol. I did a chain conversion to effectively create a "6th gear" with 5th. 80mph is 3200rpm vs 4200rpm stock.

I really wish they were still producing these (and improving them). But now they are just that much more rare and special.
