Hey everyone new 1125cr owner from central Wisconsin! Picked it up yesterday and have rode about 30 miles. Can anyone tell me if its normal to have bad surging or jerking in 1-2 gear and rpms right around 4kish? I've tried to search Google and this issue I find more on other bikes but not much on the car? Would it be the throttle body or just the bike? At 60mph its fine just slow speeds about 30mph. Thanks everyone.

Yes, it's normal for a totally stock 1125 to do that. A race ecm will cure most of it if not all. A race ecm and a good exhaust will make it run like it should.

I am in Marshfield, wi. My previous bike which I will keep is a 1990 Suzuki katana 750. Worlds of difference then that and that's probably why I like the cr so much. The EBR ecm since I see you pick it for the exhaust you have my understanding is to buy the exhaust first. Any thoughts on a power commander? I'm at work on my phone and went I try to search this forum it didn't work to well so I'll try and keep my question to as few as possible and I'm sure most if not all my questions are here in the forum. Off to reading I go!! Cheers!!

You have several options for fixing it. EBR race ecm ($325), a custom tune from the Tuniversity or xoptiinside, do it yourself if you know how or the power commander. Of those, the power commander is just a bandaid or patch and probably the worst option in my opinion. They do have an auto-tune option, but you'd be looking at spending even more money to go that route, not to mention they recommend disabling the front O2 sensor, which is a bad idea in my book. I just can't get around the idea of eliminating sensors on the bike as a good idea. Upgrading them, yes. Disabling them, nope.
If you actually like the stock exhaust, EBR does have a race ecm for that and will make the bike run quite a bit better, so buying an aftermarket pipe is not mandatory.

Everyone on here is right. I bought a stock 1125 and had same problems, bought a EBR race ECM and that fixed it greatly couldnt even tell. then bought an HMF pipe and now she roars like a champ. The pipe pictured above is just about the sexiest pipe ever made. Dean Adams makes AMAZING pipes with amazing sound, looks, and performance, but with all these comes a pretty big price tag. all worth it in my opinion, it just wasnt in my price range. so I chose between what i call mid class pipes. HMF, Jardine, FMF all pretty much around 4-5 hundred. Those are great pipes as well. it just depends on what you are looking for is all.
Dean - I mean no disrespect buy purchasing an HMF just wasn't in my budget at the moment to purchase a KEDA.

The one above is $1035 shipped, yes it's the 2nd version of it and it's ceramic coated. This particular one is also packed with stainless steel wool. In theory, it shouldn't burn out but may be just a tad louder than normal.
BruningExample == No worries man, I know not everyone wants to pay for what I build. I know I haven't priced myself out of a "dead" market yet, people still buy them, actually just got another order in the last few minutes.
