Has anyone rode a Ducati multistrada or a Panigale? I've had a Ducati monster but I wasn't impressed with it. I hear all about the multistrada and Panigale. I was wondering what's so great about them.

I rode my friends 2013 Panigale and it wasn't as impressive as I dreamed. Don't get me wrong, it's fast as hell, but it didn't blow my mind like I had hoped. It's uncomfortable also. I would take a 1000cc Jap bike over a Duc.

It looks uncomfy. Right now I have a ninja 650r. It's more upright then a regular ninja and it is a bit comfy. My Blast was the most comfy bike I had. My 1125r was less comfy then the ninja.

I have a Ninja 650 too and it is comfortable. A riding buddy has a Monster and loves it. It's about the size of my 650 but does have a more aggressive riding position. I'd love to have one!

I like my ninja but I want a white and blue xb12r. That will probably be my next bike.

Thats such a wiiiiide range of bikes from one mfg. The only thing they have in common is the name on the tank.
The multistrada isn't exactly meant for 10/10ths track only riding, just as the 1199 won't like dirt a whole lot. Monsters came with everything between pedestrian 695 engine meant for light city duty, to full on superbike motors with chassis and brakes to match. It's not fair to just say "I don't like cars". If you didn't like yours, then pick one that suits you better.

I feel the same way when someone says "I don't like Buell's". Well, OK. Which one? The light commuter?, The track bike? The street brawler?

Sadly I believe most people buy Ducati's (and put up with them) just for the sex appeal that you'll never get on a Honda. Like that hot girlfriend you had. You know the one I'm talking about. Some times you forget why you left her and miss the sex, but then you remember the time she thought you were cheating on her so she took a dump in your sunroof and burned all your **** in the front yard. Bitches be crazy.

I saw a new Diavel on the street a few days ago. Damn that is one good looking bike. The rest I'm just not that impressed with.

I recently rode my buddy's 2013 1199 Panigale R and everyone else is right on the money about it being uncomfortable. I bet it would help to get a nice Corbin seat but the riding position is extremely aggressive (this coming based on me riding an xb9r, a couple different cafe racers, and an 848 Evo).

The bike is much light than I thought it was and the cornering was actually really nice. But, make sure you are used to having a bigger engine and your throttle control is very good. I can see how the bike can get away from you with just a little accidental twist of the wrist.

Overall, the bike is a work of art and is fun to ride as long as you are not just doing straight roads and are not planning on riding longer trips. I would recommend an 848 or an 848 Evo if you want more power. I have ridden an 848 Evo quite a bit this summer and the bike feels exceptionally light. It is much lighter than the Panigale and still has more than enough power for me (140 hp). Also, the Evo has the upgraded Showa suspension as a standard option (the one I have been riding had the Ohlins suspension upgrade) and steering dampers (but, the full electronic adjustment system on the Panigale is pretty sweet).

I like both the Panigale and 848 Evo but in my personal preference and what matches my riding style I would say go with the 848. It is much lighter and more more manageable than the Panigale and stepping up from a monster it will be a total difference. The nicest change you will notice is the wet clutch vs. the monster's dry clutch (unless you are rising an S4R which doesn't sound like it is the case).

Hopefully that gave you a little insight but if I wasn't clear let me know and I can go into more detail.

Diavel is sweet. I'd like to ride one. I was going to at the Tallahassee location a few weeks ago but they are out of stock. I'd like to ride it and a Vmax.

I rode my buddies Panigale on a local circuit. It isn't a commuter bike, but it's a helluva a lot of fun!

I do like the evo 848 alot. My friend up in Indianapolis keeps telling me the most incredible bike on earth is the BMW s1000rr. He has the hp4 model. It is badass but I'm not sure it's the right bike for me. There are soooo many options open for me. I can get just about any bike I want about time riding season begins again. I'm really not sure what to buy. I've heard alot of good things about the 2014 Tuono. Looks awesome. What would you guys get if you could have any bike under 20K$?

You'll never come anywhere close to knowing how good a Panigale is by riding it on the streets; it's limits are set much higher for track use. The Multistrada is a much more streetable bike which is more enjoyable at legal speeds.
