Anyone in the Dothan Al area within a hundred miles that wants to buy my ninja and sell me their buell? I have a 2006 black silver red ninja 650r with 14,700 miles on it and in great condition, but I'm wanting a firebolt, lightning, or 1125cr. So if any one wants to do a swap, let me know. My bike is worth 3000 to 3500$$ I think.

I'd throw it up for sale locally. The 650R is a great capable bike that's plenty forgiving for the learner and still fun for the experienced rider. I'm sure it'll get picked up by someone and XB's pop up here for the 3-3.5 range all the time.
Good luck on the sale and purchase!

Yes, you may have good luck advertising locally. I bought and sold my Ninja 250 locally on Craigslist easily. The 650 is a great bike. I have a 2012. They handle well and have plenty of power. Still, I have a hard time thinking I would trade my Buell for Ninja - unless I had a couple of extra Buells taking up garage space! Good luck with the sale!

Keep both! I've got a Ninja (ZX600r) parked next to my Buell. Different tools for different jobs! :D

I do enjoy my 650r but I'm trying to get back to a buell. I'll probably put it up for sale soon and wait for a few demo days to see what I'll get next. I'll probably get a firebolt. I think there is one down in panama city Harley that I can demo ride.

Trade it in on the new 1190 in a few months. Or hold onto it till the spring when pricing will be in your favor. I went from a Ninja to an 1125, I would never go back.

Keep both :D
Here's my two. Ninja for daily mileage, Buell for pretty days and weekend romps. As I'm finding, the Buell isn't very warm in the winter... so the Ninja will get more miles on these cold mornings.

Yeah... Ninja 250's are not bad. They're good first bikes and good track bikes (so I'm told). I bought it when I got back into riding after a long time. I thought I would keep it more than three months though! [smirk]

My bike before my XB9SX was the cousin of the 650R, a 2008 Versys. Great bike, great motor. Just wanted something that stirred the soul a bit more and I fell in absolute love the first time I saw this 9SX. I miss some of the stuff the Versys was capable of but I couldn't go back at all. The Buell is all I think about all day all the time. When I'm not riding it, I'm thinking about riding it. I couldn't even get off this board while I was in the hospital with my son being born. It's taken a hold of me unlike any bike I've ever owned and I absolutely love it.
