I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who brings a bike inside during the winter. Actually I've got four bikes on my back porch, and just measured some doorways to see if my Buell would fit through. If I can pick it up, I'd put it on the fireplace hearth, or in the bay window.

How do you guys bring your bike inside? The smell from the exhaust lingers for hours (hydrocarbons) on my XB. But the 1125s I've been around are much worse.

I'd have to let it sit outside for a couple hours and push it in.

Just curious...

For the basement I just let it roll down the stairs, for my parents house I literally drove it through the front door up a ramp, killed the engine halfway up the ramp and let it sit on the porch for a few minutes while I moved things out of the way. Didn't seem to notice a smell.

I just want to start it and listen to it idle…

As long as my cat doesn't claw the seat I don't mind her sitting on it. (she does claw the tires)

The image won't link for some reason. Click anyway, it should show up.

i think this one is super freaking funny and i laugh at each and every one of you for storing your bikes inside. mostly i laugh because i know the feeling of success when you squeeze the handlebars through those damned narrow doorways!!.. up three steps and through the narrow door tonight. :D

Ya I just drove mine through the yard around back and went in throw my basement door super easy. If I wanted it on another level. I'll just throw it on my elevator! Screw my stairs haha and I never recognized a smell. Obviously shut it off before I went through the door though too. But at the same time. Who wouldn't want house that smelt like a garage haha
