My 1125R had a D&D when I bought it - after the two hour ride home, I thought I was deaf in my right ear. I took it off the next day and sold it.

Yep, it's loud. I've heard 2 in person, one with packing (brand new on the showroom floor) and one without. Both were louder than anything I make by a large margin.

Got a race ecm for it? If not, you REALLY need one. That's probably why you get those pretty flames out the back.

I had a similar experience when I first installed it a couple years ago, went on an hour ride with ear plugs in and thought it was doing damage to my hearing...but towards the end of this season I seen it festering on a shelf in the garage, I hate things to fester, so I put it back on and been riding it for about a month till it got put away by snow. Pretty sure I've lost enough of my hearing between the two deployments that it doesn't hurt anymore.
