I have no idea what this is for

Is anyone knows what this pipe is for. During my normal inspection I found this.
It goes fron the top of the engine to behind the battery. If any one know what is it. Thanks for helping

what,the hose its a vent.its pretty common that they melt

That's your transmission vent hose. In front of the starter. The other hose is a vent hose too.

Thanks guys. I replaced the pipe. It's a pain in the bump. No room at all. Didn't want to remove the starter. Any way, i managed to fit a new one.
For some reason, the gaz that comes out off this broken pipe was grey/white and very hard to clean. I have it everywhere inside the belt cover and at the rear of the bike.
Looks like someone spray paint in grey. Is it normal?

Is the air going in or out the transmittion?

As far as the going in/out, I don't really know.

I had the same problem on mine, the hose melted through and became brittle. I just cut it off and put a breather filter on it.

and a plastic barb fitting from the local auto-parts dealer (they would probably have the filter there as well)
