99x1 fi installing s&s stealth.

Can I mount the IAT sensor on the back plate for the s&s stealth kit and do I have to adjust the ecm. Should I get the cable and use ecmspy? What are the maps needed? Is it fairly easy for a layman?
I have a Vance and Hines exhaust.
