Looking to convert my XB over to the ZTL2. Master cylinder type isn't a huge deal right now but I'd rather not buy a brand new caliper from HD.

I have a ZTL2 caliper off of a 2008 1125R that I would be willing to sell. I do not have brake pads for it though, so you will need to buy those separately. What do you think it is worth?

Thanks for letting me know. I plan on putting it up for sale along with a few other extra items I have. Any suggestion what I should ask for it? It is a '08 ZTL2 caliper without pads.

New with pads is something like $260, someone just bought one recently, might have been newcastle-hd. I'd go 1/2 that, maybe a little less if it needs rebuilt. Personally, I'd assume it needs rebuilt either way, the kit for it is $55 from EBR. I just did the same on my xb9 recently, new MC, line and ZTL2 caliper. Ended up having to buy another complete line since the bars I have on it are too tall and that made the stock 1125 line too short. I got the entire thing for about $230 including the all new line and fittings (Goodyear lines from motorcycle superstore?) and a used mc & caliper.

Btw, I ended up with a total of a 30" brake line, or roughly 5" more than the one I got with the caliper and master cylinder. Make sure to measure what you need for length, I just assumed the 1125 line would fit mine just fine and it was way too short to work, even going straight from the master cylinder straight down to the caliper. I have a set of Carmichael bend bars and then the riser on mine, so that's why the major difference. I also went with straight banjo fittings instead, so there's less stress on the line itself when mounted up.
