Shifter linkage seepage

So, found my first and hopefully only leak ever. It's at the washer at the shifter linkage as it comes out of the tranny. I'm guessing Harley still caries this. Also, looks like an easy fix. Wish me luck!

Mine has that same leak but i really don't feel conformable doing this without a tutorial of some sort. Good luck and if you get some time you should explain how you did it on here for other people. :D

yes they do. it's the shift shaft seal. press or drive out old one...clean up primary cover mating surface....coat inside tension spring area of new seal with light coating of heavy grease....and install.
 
The only advice I would offer is to lean the bike against something, if you have an engine hoist or can attach straps to something overhead and lean it way over, then you don't have to drain the primary oil.
