Very happy with mods so far - any more suppestions?

I am very pleased with the results so far. Does anyone have any suggestions for minor mods with major improvements?

Unless you're remapping your ecm or adding a piggyback system, I would put the open airbox back to stock. You're giving the bike a lot more air, making it run WAY lean. This could have negative effects in the long run. It sucks I know, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Sanding mod is sanding the edge of the Sprocket. I dont have a pic of mine yet..just did it the other day. Take a look at Typeones bike. Subtle but I think it really adds to the appearance of the bike.

I talked with Mike from xoptinside and he said...

"Your ecm on that bike will not allow it to be too lean. It will compensate for the changes. It just will be off scale a little, but not too much.
A remap will make it best."

This eases my fears of doing major damage quickly, but of course I still want to tune it correctly for the best performance and longevity of the engine.

I have an ECMSpy cable on order from ASB. I am by no means a tuning expert, but from reading the documentation, I think it is something that I can handle with the help of their guides.

horseplay: I do like that sanding mod. Do you have a link to instuctions? Is this done with everything in place, or is some disassembly required?

No disassembly. I used a dremel tool with a sanding bit. You have to be careful not to nick the belt but as long as you dont have turrets syndrome you should be fine. The belt sits back slightly on the sprocket. Do a small section (3 inches or so) and roll the bike forward to get the perfect angle. After the dremel I used polishing paper (not sure of the grit 1500?) to smooth out any irregularities.

The entire mod took 15-20 minutes.

Removing the belt guards and the sanding mod is probably the best appearance mod you can do...
