my xb9 2003 lightning is stalling sometimes when idleing. it was running on one cylinder because one of the plugs were gummed up. looked all black. changed the spark plugs, but i am still having issues. when i start to go in first at a stand still it starts to stall unless i bring it up to about 3k rpm. and sometimes when idling it starts to stall. it usually is idling around 1200 rpms. is this a o2 sensor, or some other issue??

Might need to have a TPS reset performed on your bike either by the dealer or ECMSpy. Also, doubt it will fix it, but might want to adjust your idle screw so it idles around 1050rpm.

Re-check the gap in your plugs. You could have accidentally tapped the tip on installation also. It would give you the opportunity to see the consistency of fluid on the plugs as well to see how it's burning. If that one is black again you could need new rings in that cylinder.

do you have this issue with warm & cold engine?
check
- battery
- plugs
- wires
on the safe side, do a tps reset and adjust idle
