It will be interesting to see how it does in the race.

I like them but not the price, and I agree a waste of alot of them. In my opinion its a marketing ploy to secure more buyers for the remaining of the 47....they kinda stalled.

They're selling the bikes as fast as they produce them. Absolutely stunning bike. This release (and several other one offs) are all part of the series of 47.

They haven't built all 47. They are building one at a time in a series. The production garage is in north Denver. Super cool guys

in 61 years i've seen some of the most aesthetically beautiful mass produced bikes in the world being built.
in 61 years i've seen some of the most aesthetically appalling and painfully ugly bikes in the world being built.
top of my personal "brutally painful to gaze upon" list has always been the lowly 1986 Suzuki Madura 1200. an unadulterated abortion using the Cavalcade touring bike V-4 in an ill-conceived frame to compete with the V-Max. destined for failure before ever leaving the factory. it is generally considered among both dealers and enthusiasts to be the ugliest mass-produced bike in history. i have bumped it down to #2 and replaced it with the MagPul Ronin.http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/8903_20150606075711_L.jpg

at the bottom of the page linked by the OP - there's a link for an interview Jay Leno does with the Ronin guy and then Jay takes a ride on the ronin. it's a good interview. Buell gets some good press as well. (Jay owns a Buell); i enjoyed it.[up]

Please, oh please god sell all of these off and get on with it so I don't have to see these horrendous looking bikes anymore. Seems every day someone is posting either here or on any of the other multitude of other Buell pages "hey have you seen this? It's called the Ronin!"

Let's just all agree to please let it quietly go away. I'll probably get flamed for this but honestly I thought it was ugly then and it's ugly now.

Damn skippy! Abomination is what I refer to them as, along with a HUGE waste of money, time and resources.

I've never even heard of that bike before. So they are all chopped up 1125's?

Who cares what magpul does. If they want to spend their money and time on redesigning bikes than so be it. I may not like the design 100 percent but I certainly give them credit for capitalizing on the opportunity to buy the bikes in bulk when Buell originally went out of business. If anything, its more publicity for the Buell platform so stop whining. I don't see anyone ever complain what Lingenfelter, Shelby, SLP or maybe Hennessy does to oem vehicles...

I think the reason you don't hear people complain about what Lingenfelter, Shelby, SLP and Hennessy do to OEM cars, is most people think they improve the OEM.

I think the front fork of the Ronin, just like the Confederate Wraith, is hideous.

Honestly don't care what they do with it and give them credit for the fabrication portion. It's not my personal taste but I know some people out there love it. I'm more just sick of it being shoved down my throat like it's this brand new amazing thing EVERY DAY on every forum and FB page dedicated to Buell, that's all.

HA!

I actually like the ronin, I like the lines. It's a cool concept and an interesting take on the bike. I'm not the biggest fan of the front end and given the choice I would opt out of the front spars for the oem suspension. But it is still a pretty cool bike in my book. Entertainingly pointless, but interesting.

All it does is drive up resale for the rest of us so I'm really not complaining. Hack away magpul!

They're selling the bikes as fast as they produce them.

I think that statement is a little bit backwards but yeah, something like that :p

I'm anxious to see how the 1190 does at the peak. Awhile back there was a 1125cr with an 1190 kit that ran. Placed 2nd even though it went down in one turn and the rider had to pick it back up and finish.

Do they do live coverage of the peak?

I am going down with my 1125cr, not to race but spectate if anyone is interested. I live in Denver. PM me if you want to go. I want to see the Ronin run off the start, maybe grab a beer and enjoy the day. Hope they have good weather. Rain has sucked big time here lately.

I think it's just a song you guys have heard too much. the cure for that is more cowbell! Ronin bought this RX from NRHS, when EBR was still in full swing. This bike was preplanned and prepaid long before Ronin even started building it. The buyer paid over $150K for Ronin to build this bike and also bought two other Ronins. Interesting note: They used the XB front wheel on the bike at the race, most likely because the RX wheel has a larger axle and bearing ID, so their frontend wouldn't fit without modifications. I believe the eventual plan is BST Carbon wheels and Brembo monoblock brakes, because that was originally planned and wanted by the buyer.

HA I can't believe so many people here hate it. And are so upset by it. I think it's amazing! How cool these guys did this. And for the record, Ronin Motorworks isn't Magpul. Magpul did it as an exercise, and Ronin Motorworks got the rights to move it forward.

The KEY here is, we all get to do what we want to our own bikes. And it's best if we all respect each other for it. I totally respect people not liking it, it's very different. they even stated that the front end is controversial. I like it!

Different strokes for different folks.. Just think if they didn't create that thing we wouldn't realize how good the original buells looked
