Not sure if this been covered but i did my header the other night and was like well i got all the stuff out.:p
So i pulled the brake first sanded it smooth with a die grinder and 80 grit pad then a roloc pad.
followed with my 2" mini DA sander 600 then 800 grit
Mother mag polish and a cloth pad with the da after 4 or 5 times it looks like a mirror.
Then i did the shifter and the link that always discolored. i will take a few pics tomorrow.

Looks sick fellas.

I like the drilled look.

Are you going to coat the parts with anything to prevent rust and/or discoloring?

Mine are from AmericanSportbike. Came with satin finish, polished easy. The pegs, well got'em off ebay from somebody who has no idea what a "stop" is on a CNC machine.

I'll keep polishing them till I get tired of all the polished things here and there. Then I will clear coat them.

Nothing wrong with that!

It's always nice to have an excuse to wrench on your bike. (except for major issues)
