Hey man yeah i had it happen to me first fill up after leaving the shop, didnt get any help from the shop. I have an 05 xb9sx, so it gave me a good excuse to fork out for a 07 cover with the air vents. I put a clear cover over it before i put it on the bike, it works really well..

yeah i have been keeping paper towel to cover the pump nozzle incase it has dribbles of fuel in it when i go to place it in the neck.I love the translucants but **** they are hard to keep from scratching.Have you tried the Novus #2 polish on it? I use these products and find them great. On new bikes there is a decal that is meant to be peeled off by the owner stating something about the care of the plastics but mine was peeled off by the dealer.I dont think it had any fuel warning on it though.
