Well i was riding and broke something in the clutch release mechanism and it was not the cable its in the primary. What ever broke was right behind the actual release mechanism it broke in several pieces and appeared to be a ring shaped thing that was open at one end anyway does anyone know exactly what broke? real pictures would be great because the FSM are hard to tell what is what. Thanks[confused]

I am pretty sure its that large clip on the clutch in the first pic kinda in the middle
the clip open spot looks like its about at 1-2 o clock if it was a lock face lol
or maybe the basket it self broke but it is what ever the back of the release mechanism presses on.

So this is what you need
Clutch Spring (http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-prodshow/17300.html)

A special Spring Compressing tool is needed to remove the clutch spring and to install it. but the inner edges are held in by an O-ring.

How about you take some pictures of your broken piece(s)? Then once we see what it is, we can better give you an answer of what it appears to be.

****! Thats way easier then pullin the clutch and basket Id be a happy dude if I were you. On the other side of that coin it is a very odd place for a break.... Maybe a bad casting???

yeah thats what i was thinking that is not something that should break i.e. a consumable.
So i have been talking to buell trying to get them to fix it.

yeah, I think you should definitely send buell a little note informing them of the issue.
Because due to the type of break, you just may be covered under warranty if there's one on the bike.
