Does anyone know where I can buy a race ECM for an '09 XB12X?
Thanks,

Sorry, there is no such thing unless you have a race license. There are a few places that can tune your bike better than the race map though. JT&S would be my suggestion

Check out the Eric Buell Racing website. He has started making race ecm's again for the 08 and newer xb's.

Ya. But with EBR, you have to have a race liscence. Im sure there are ways around that though.

I couldn't find any restrictions on the EBR site. I even went part way through the checkout process and it didn't query me for a license number. Has anybody tried to actually order stuff and been refused? I don't have the $750 right now, but am going to order the race kit as soon as I do, so I'd like to know if I have to jump through some hoops.

plus the $750 is for a race ECM and the software the tune the buell your self.. EBR also has a Plug-and-play unit that costs $250. It has one race map in it that works with xb's that has a aftermarket pipe and filter.

Taylor, how's your ECM working out so far?
I'm considering giving the Plug & Play a try. I guess the worst that might happen is running a little rich if the box and pipe aren't opened up enough. Still better than too lean though. Also, I would have to start at the bottom of the learning curve with tuning myself.
Only drawback I see with the Plug & Play is that to upgrade to a tune-able ECM, you have to send it back to EBR for a re-flash.
