all i could say is change the plugs and put some miles on it. my xb was like that brand new but it broke it self in after two sets of bad plugs.

Mine did it too until I got ohiosportbike.com 's programmer! sow its got a smooth low end cruise and it pulls like a SOB when you get on it. The best 290 bucks you can put into your bike imo... You will need a $50 cable to connect your comp. to your bike too.

PCV and dyno tune will fix it right up. mine is super smooth now. The surging at 3500-4000rpms drove me nutz, so I spent a few bucks to fix it.

Take a look at this link, it helps the surge a bit.

I think the surging gives the bike a lot of personality. It IS a v twin, and twins are quirky. Not like alot of super smooth in line bikes that are just boring. Do want you want, I would rather spend 300 bones on new tires or whatever. And really? How often is one below 4000 rpm on an 1125? :)

I cruise between 4000 & 5000 RPM on mine. rides like a dream.

There's nothing quirky about surging. It's simply a result of running to lean. It's probably less noticable with 4 cylinder engine with shorter strokes.

Moosestang is correct, its a too lean condition. Common with VTwins. The inventor of the Fac Duc 02 manipulator was working with me on coming out with a prototype for the CR. Its been a while for this to happen and I'm not bugging him about it. He has sold hundreds of them to the Ducati crowd, me being a satisfied owner. Amazing fix for $80. However, the 2v Ducati I owned (Multistrada) had only one lambda probe sensor requiring one device, I don't know what has to be done with a Buell with two sensors. I know folks with the 1098 and 1198 Ducati, install two of them for their bikes, which doubles the cost. I'll get an update and report back.

Well that would be great if real gasoline was still available in the US.
