Well, if you find out - post the results. I have been considering a corbin seat on my 09 xb12ss long.

I would really recommend you check out Baldwin seats. It's not some cookie cutter seat, he makes it custom to you. I got mine not too long ago and it is excellent! Runs about the same price as a Corbin, but Baldwin seats are by a fellow Buell enthusiast, and a really nice guy to deal with!

Here's his website:

Here's the only pic I have of my seat at the moment...photo quality is crap, will be taking some better ones very soon!

Check his site for a better example of a straight gunfighter type seat...I wanted more of a touring seat with a built up passenger area and a backrest. This is on my 09 xb12ss, too.

really recommend you check out Baldwin seats.

His seats do look really nice... I was planning on taking mine to an upholstery shop and see what they could do since I cant seem to find a cheap low style seat but know I may just order one from him.. thanks for the link

DID U GET THE BACKREST FROM THEM AS WELL?
DOES IT LOWER THE SEATING HEIGHT?
IT LOOKS REALLY GOOD!

I got the back rest from ebay, but it's the same mount as Corbin, so you could get one there as well...Baldwin does not do backrests as far as I know...

I personally did not want my seat lower...I have a 38" inseam so wanted it higher (and he moved the seating position a little further back) for a little extra room, but I bet he can make it lower if that's what you want. He really makes a custom seat and will work with you to make it exactly how you want it!

I love it...it does look good and it is unbelievably comfortable! I really need to take some more pics of it that do it justice!

i have a corbin for my 03 xb9s and i cant speak more highly of it. it is the most comfortable seat i have owned. defiantly money well spent i say. i had to put some spacers on the seat latch to make it lock in place but it was super easy. let us know what you end up going with.

Tseldon, have you had to deal with Corbin for anything customer service related? I've heard some horror stories from a few people who have tried to get anything done after the sale, curious if you had any experience with it...

I did a lot of research before buying a seat to replace my very uncomfortable stock Ss seat...almost went with Corbin, but then saw the (lack of) customer service and that kind of drove me away. So glad I went will a Baldwin seat!

i actually bought my seat from another user on here. it was practically new, typical wear and tear but nothing major. looks really nice and super comfy. i haven't had to call customer service for anything yet, as i have only had the seat for a few months now and its 30 degrees in chicago now so the bike is in storage/being serviced/repainted. i hope i wont have to call them or service the seat anytime soon.

Very cool...wasn't trying to badmouth Corbin or anything, was really just curious since I almost got one of their seats.

Up till now i can not complain about the contacts i had with corbin. I am trying to sort out what i want and in which materials and colours.
But explain me, what could possibly go wrong on seat?
