[mad][mad]got one of these as a gift and it has already broken. can't fkucing believe it. i have emailed them and asked for a refund. if they do the right thing i will post a reply. not trying to trash the company, but i wasn't all that impressed with the fit and finish in the first place and now this. should have stuck with rizoma. anyone else have issues with this?

Did it break while you were installing it? Mine was a tight fit and looks factory.

broke after it had been installed. not sure when. went to take it off last night and discovered it. i just got off the phone with tom at diesel moto and they are shipping a replacement today. they had great customer service and were willing to do whatever i wanted (ship a new one/refund/etc.). i was very impressed and have to say that i wouldn't let my situation discourage others from doing business with these guys. in manufacturing there is always a % that has defects and it appears i was just unlucky. no worries now that they are taking care of me.;)

Now you can tig that one back together smoth it out and sell it, or just sell it as is and someone else can fix it on their own.

As far as fitment goes, Al at ASB cleans them up a bit so they fit better. It's good to hear that they replaced it. [up]

Hey badidea sent you a PM.
Do you think it might have broken from shaking?
Buell shakes so much I'm always worried if any screw will let loose.

don't think it was from shaking or vibration. my battery is dead and other than jumping it, riding around my block, letting idle for about 20 min, it hasn't been riden since instal. i think there was somethign wrong in the manufacturing process at it came out somewhat brittle. i've checked around (as best you can) and it seems i am the only one that has had any trouble with his part from diesel moto.
