Yes they are crazy, I live right down the street from Hacienda. They really won't deal with you either, Buells Jammed into the Back Building last time I went their, about a year ago.

you guys dont think they will rise in value?

they are holding well here in australia. limited numbers and more people starting to appreciate them.

tehy buell run out was a one off... doesnt mean it ruins a bikes value.

I haven’t personally seen this bike but my buddy looked at it and said that the pictures must be old. The tires are dry rotted and the switch housings and many other parts are faded and cracked. He also said if you look in the pictures you can see that one mirror is short and the other long. (Maybe a replacement for being dropped) He said the bike looks horrible not to mention the ugly paint job.

And if you think this is crazy... Take that:
Buell XB9SX, 2005, 9000km for THB 650,000 which would be 17,560 US. The guy in the shop told me BUELL OFF, NO HAVE ANYMORE.... I was then thinking to sell my CityX and get a Duc but this last about 10 sec and I will stay with my darling.

Firstly that dealer selling the 03 must be hitting the crack pipe hard. I think the values will drop a little but will come up again in a year or two. I wouldn't expect collector vehicle prices but you could probably get what you paid for the bike. Just my 2 pesos.

Once they sell out in the dealerships the value will be set by us. Thats how it works. There are not millions of buells, and there are less every year. So the price of our bike will surely rise just like every other collector bike. We own a very cool piece of history. Also buells are highly respected in other countries. :D

They have crack pipe prices or all their Buells!

I half agree with you brightbuell. I think it also depends on how the buell reputation grows or shrinks in the eyes of people who have never owned one and are thinking of buying one. Im kinda pessimistic myself. I for one would have a hard time buying an out of production bike. Time will tell

I think that dealer is on the pipe or something, the dealer I bought my xb9r from has one xb12r left, the sticker says about 8400.00.

You must in a nicer part of the country or some place where motorcycle are more popular I got my mine new under 8000

10000 for the bike in the OP? I think its going to be at the dealership for a while.

I love Buell, but....2010 ZX6R or 2003 xb9r

EASY decision...good luck hacienda. I would be heading to a local yama dealer.

That's why I bought mine at Chandler HD, Hacienda is whack. Chandler has real cool sales people and a much nicer showroom to boot. But heck if it was about $7500 less I might take it, the paint matches my girl friends helmet. Maybe I could talk her out of that lime green Ninja she's been eying :D

Yep, it has an 03 9R mirror on one side and an 04 and up mirror on the other side. They probably stole it for a replacement for a customer, thinking they were never going to sell this gem :p

Just a thought...I collect Hot Wheels. I drive other collectors nuts by opening them up and putting them on the mantel. I have a Buell. I might drive people nuts by riding it everyday, rain or shine, ****, I don't care if it's snowing as long as there's traction. Never mind what you think the bike is worth, we all bought it to ride. DO NOT pull it off the road hoping to make a little coin on it, Ride it, enjoy it. Sell it now or ever and you'll regret it. Keep your toys FOREVER! Wayne

Then I feel like I did pretty well. I just traded a 2005 C50T with 16,000 miles for a 2004 XB12R with 16,000 miles even trade. I'm gonna ride it like I stole it everyday!
