Buell newbie here.
Can anyone tell me if the (translucent)Hero Blue air box cover will fit on a 2005 Lightning XB12Scg?
Buell Parts says no, but the parts sure look the same.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Oh yeah...love my Buell!

any XB airbox will fit Any xb. the only problem anyone would have if you try to put a 06 or older airbox cover on a 07 or newer bike because the older ones do not have the air intake in the front, this is because the older bikes pulled the air up threw the bottom of the frame. The new air box cover do however fit the older bikes no problem in fact it just gives you more air.

Thanks for the fast replies guys!
I thought it would fit too, but the Buell Parts rep answered my inquiry with..'Nope, sorry. Won't fit'.
So I thought I would turn to the experts for the right answer...

'06-Later XB airboxes all have the vent in front of the gas cap hole.
