Yesterday I acquired an XB engine and a few parts. Don't know if its a 900 or a 1200. Serial (Vin) number is 4MZA814J943426648 My thoughts are this is a 2004 motorcycle.
I bought this with hopes of using the engine in something else.

My questions are:
Am I correct in the year?
Is this a 900 or a 1200cc engine?

Can I do away with the FI and go with a carb? If so what manifold would I use?
What about spark if I dont use the computer.

Should I can this idea and use a different motor?
Has this been done by someone else that I can look into?

TO make a long story short I have a vintage M/C frame I want to out a new style V-twinn engine into and thought this might work.
