Clutch adjustment problems

I didn't have time to get and go over the manual last night that's why I was conversing on here about it. I thought that's what this place was for didn't realize cuz I'm a noob people on here would be so rude! That is why I don't care to post on places like this cuz people talk down to you just cuz your not a gear head 😡 Thanks for the help when I get some time I'll work on it and post what I figure out.

I understand what he is telling me and as I mentioned several times I did the adjustment like the manual says... I just downloaded the manual and everything I did was exactly like it said to do it. I did not have the manual at the time but everything I researched and did was per manual and now I just verified all of it with the manual... So this eve when I get home I'll do a full re adjustment now that my lever feels normal again and hopefully redoing the adjustment will fix my issues. Sry to get irritated but it's not that I was not listening to advice no-one was believing that what I did was per manual. Thanks again and sry of I was disrespectful.

no problem. Its easy to get frustrated with the 'character' (LOL) of Buells and trying to figure stuff out. Thrstmech is a wealth of knowledge and a good guy, he helps a LOT of people. No harm , no foul. There is a strong thread of sarcasm here. Don't take it personal. We have all been there.

+1 to what mrlogix said. It's kind of an initiation or hazing of sorts that comes with the territory. I've been on here a while and I BELIEVE I know a bit about an xb12r, however, I'll catch a barrage of sarcasm and sass if I'm not careful with what I say.
Also, some of these guys are pretty old.
You know old geezers never like to repeat themselves. They barely have the energy to reply in the first place.

rssmith360...the point of me going about it the way I did was for you to get familiar with the manual and learning about the bike through the manual. we can give you tips/hints all day long on how to do this and do that, but how you would know if that's the proper way. we've seen lots of issues come up and most are self inflicted due to improper procedures being performed and or so called Buell mechanics out there. since we don't have much for support from HD dealers, we have to learn how to do our own maintenance. I have a co-worker that graduated from MMI in 2004 and the entire Buell class was one week long do you think that's enough time to learn about these motorcycles? yeah, neither do I. take the time to read the manual, also read through the general motorcycle chat forum...lot and lots of info there for you to soak up. dude, sit back and enjoy the ride, these bikes will leave that stupid grin on your face for many years....9 years and counting for me.
