5-0dro XB Case Sliders

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

I want to communicate a few changes on these parts (for the better) from the original description. They are:

- The sliders will NOT be machined from Delrin brand resin but another high performance resin that is actually more resilient than Delrin. Still black though.

- Hardware will NOT be stainless steel. As I mentioned previously, stainless hardware is not strong enough for this application. I have been able to source some custom made black (YES BLACK :D ) hardware that is comparable to the strength and corrosion resistance of the hardware on your bike's case now.

I've been able to make these changes while keeping my price the same so I'm happy about that!

On another note...There are a few people that have expressed interest in these parts but have NOT placed their orders on our site. I can not honor the discount price for you if you don't place your order while the discount is being offered. To do so would be unfair to the others that placed their orders earlier so please place your orders ASAP to get the current discount price of $120 (after forum discount).

May 1, 2012 is looking like the timing as of now. Of course it's often difficult to control the delivery times from my vendors but I will keep on them and get these out as quickly as I possibly can. Those of you that have ordered from 5-0dro in the past know how we pride ourselves with quick turnaround shipping so you know we'll be working hard to get these out to you and of course will be communicating along the way.

If you have any questions on any of this, please ask. We're extremely excited to start offering these and can't wait to see them on your bikes!

It's quite old thread but I'll try to ask.
5-0dro, you mentioned that you switched form Delrin to some other material ("high performance resin") for the sliders. What is it? Why did you do that?

Second line down, "The sliders will NOT be machined from Delrin brand resin but another high performance resin that is actually more resilient than Delrin. Still black though."
You can also ask him directly as he is one of the suppliers on this forum.

Thanks njloco! Good to see people still looking at our parts. ;) I've been on a "sabbatical" from the forum for a while. Happy Buelling to you all! Lot's of good memories here for sure...

Delrin is definitely a brand, although I don’t recall it’s composition.

That is what I'd like to know: what is the composition of the new resin that you switched to.
I'm sorry for stupid questions - I'm not from the US...

No problem but we typically don’t share that level of detail publicly as it’s part of our design. Sorry.
