So, as luck would have it, the PO let me know that the fuel pump was previously replaced already. The first owner bought the bike and had to store it immediately, as he was in the military. The original fuel pump was toast after that, so it was replaced by the second owner. I'm unsure what pump was used as a replacement, but it hasn't given me any issues. I'll replace the plugs with the iridium ones and see what that does. I'll probably replace the headers with those jet coated ones around the same time.
I've been riding with the tall seat and the bead cover. It's amazingly comfortable. Rode into ATL yesterday afternoon, and it was great on the highway and in town. The heat was barely noticeable, and the seat height helped me find that perfect leg position.
I'm still trying to work out a way to use my tank bag. I love the X on the airbox, but my magnetic tankbag wont stick to the plastic. Maybe I'll go the suction cup route.
