WTB - 43mm preload adjust parts or a whole cap

Getting my dream buell back together xb12ss and in doing fork deals I found the plastic internal bits of the preload adjuster are broken.

I am missing the plastic white washer that goes on top of the pins and the one the little pins go into is broken.

Anyone know where I can source them? Or has a cap or those parts for sale.

Pretty sure part number is: J8144.3A8

Please let me know.

The top cap changed in 2007 or 2008. Which version do you have?

I have the early cap. I think the bike is an 06/07

I had a couple of complete fork caps with those in them off of a 2007 I was parting out. Like most of the parts, I couldnt give them away, so I think they wound up in the trash. It was a shame as it was complete internals from an SCG which would have been perfect for someone wanting to lower their bike with factory parts.

Have you checked with VPI?
