welcome, i spent a year at Florennes, loved the country, wish i had taken my bike with me, but the right away by tonnage rules of the road would have worried me some on a bike.

What's the age of the typical Buell owner?

I had my first bike when I was about 20, rode it everywhere sold it when I headed overseas with the Air Force 23 years later I bought my Buell Firebolt. I was wanting to start riding again and great gas mileage didn't hurt.

    Screamin' loud

what are the chances of making the bike quieter? Loud is ok, but i would actually like to be able to go for a ride with out scaring all the wild life for miles. Im not looking to go 150mph so some loss of topspeed is not a big deal, but i would like to hear myself think on occasion. And...

    Starter Issues

I ran my '05 12r through a BIG puddle the other day and the starter keeps clicking, I wasnt sure what it was at first, but it isnt engaging, just sounds like the solinoid clicking on and off or chattering. Is this an issue due to the water, or perhaps something else? Any help would be...

your opinion on the new Buell 1125R

yeah i noticed the ferrari influence, but it looks really good, but in black it is more remanisant of the F-117 Stealth Fighter, especially with the angular look

your opinion on the new Buell 1125R

Le Fox Great pics, i am guessing photoshop? I kinda like the bottom photo, makes the 1125r look agressive yet still retain the sleek look.

your opinion on the new Buell 1125R

it looks like they cobbled it together to meet a deadline. where the other bikes have sleek fighter plane appearances (firebolt) or the rugged streetfighter look, this just looks unfinished. The scoops for the radiator are way too huge, this thing looks like a Harrier Jump Jet but without the...

Riding Wet... ok or stupid idea? You tell me...

I rode my old Yamaha 250 Enduro all year round in Kansas, Ice storms arent fun, but you can ride through them. Just be very careful braking. Nice thing was the bike was light enough that if you did drop it, you could pick it back up and keep going. I did that many times on the ice and snow.

Riding Wet... ok or stupid idea? You tell me...

I wont start off in the rain if i can help it, but to get caught in the rain on the way home from work is not a big deal. My firebolt puts out enough heat to keep me warm even if i am wet, and my Jacket is rain resistant so other than a bit of damp around my neck im ok. Of course im not going...

    Handlebar vibrations

well they work some, but still havent been out at highway speeds. I am thinking about ditching the Joe Rocket gloves and getting a pair of work gloves designed for use with impact tools, they have cushioned palms but not as extreme as the Joe Rocket gel riding gloves.

i think my total distance was about 700 miles, I was in Georgia 400 miles from home, found my bike at a credit union repo, drove back home, picked up a trailer, drove to Jacksonville FL and back then to the dealer to have it checked out. by total ride on the bike was about 1 mile of the 700+...

    CAD Drawings

Any one have good line drawings of the Buell Firebolt? I am trying to get decent sized front and side views to work up a paint scheme and the ones on the Buell site aren't that great. Any format is appreciated.
