    Hammer Performance Cams in XB9

Dan will set you straight. He did a full engine build for me this past winter. In prior conversations with Dan, I believe he said that you can do the 585 cam w/o clearancing or rocker upgrades. Just cam and spring kit.

    KTM 1290!

Most of us will admit, it's all about the bottom end grunt with these big twin naked bikes. That's what makes the air cooled buells so much fun despite their obvious lack of top end. Arguing over a few peak hp here between the SX and SD is a moot point.

    KTM 1290!

Yeah, I'm all about the aircooled Buells but agree with crash. Comparing apples to apples (1290SD vs 1190SX), the KTM definitely takes the cake in the aesthetics department...also in hp and tq output.

    Fabbed up my tail piece

You mean like this? Here's the one I did back in 2012.

    xb 08 refinements?

Only the 2010's came with the dual O2 sensors as well as the triple bearing rear end. Not sure which year but believe there was an upgrade on the rods - I believe 08+

Never gets old. Random comments on my bike

Bingo, I would agree with them on that point. Especially given that mine is all flat black and stealthy [cool]

Never gets old. Random comments on my bike

Yeah I've heard all the above. One of the perks of having something different. I get the "is that a ducati?" it doesn't help that I do have a duc front fairing on it though lol This was an odd one: "Man, your bike looks like the Batman Bike!" Reply: "Uhhhh, have you SEEN the Batman...

Best big bore kit for the $$

I will be home in a couple months and will install my Hammer Perf full engine build with overbored throttle body. I have a dyno waiting on me. You can check my build thread if you want specs. Can't wait.

to boost or not to boost...that is the question

I would recommend "enhancing" what you already have (XB12) by doing a big bore kit. This will allow you to keep all the handling dynamics of the XB platform yet give you that extra umph you're obviously in search of. I had a great experience with Dan at Hammer Performance completing my XB...

    Cycle One-off cuatom

Yes, this is my bike. No, cycle one off did not build it. I am the builder. I did have one of the components done by Tom at Cycle One Off and sent them the link to the article. My entire build thread is here on the forum. Anyway, yes I would agree that lowering your fairing gives much...

2010 XB12SCG on Steriods: 280mm, Twin Rotors, Projectors

I key piece to the puzzle arrived today. I partnered with Danvanceracing.com to pioneer the first ported XB throttle body. Due to the one piece design, no other shops would touch this piece. Dan took it from the stock 49mm bore to a fully bored 53.5mm, opened the runners up to 1.725" and...

XB Big Bore throttle body now an option!

snrusnak: The entire main body is bored (from opening to the transition as are each runner (if requested) and the transition is hand ported/blended. I had my race CNC heads opened up to the max on the intake and exhaust ports and so had the TB ported to mach. It would not be of any benefit to...

XB Big Bore throttle body now an option!

I'm happy to announce that with the help of danvanceracing.com I have pioneered the first true big bore XB throttle body. If you have kept up with my bike build thread, you know that I recently had my xb12 engine fully "rodded" including race heads, cams, bored to 1500cc. Naturally, when you...

    Sweet Concept XB

Looks like a 240 rear. The belt looks inline to me. It goes over the tensioner as normal. COULD have a custom frame which wouldn't be the first time this was done. To me it is tasteful and different which is what Buell is all about.

    Sweet Concept XB

Saw this on FB the other day. Looks like an early XB underneath. Some aspects seem photoshopped such as the tires but definitely a nice futuristic and edgy look for the XB chassis IMO.

    Xb12Ss Crash Cage Advice

I agree. With stunting you will see more blunt impacts but at very low speed. At normal riding speeds you usually have less blunt impact and more sliding type action which is where delrin case and axle sliders will do their job. In the case your bike catches an edge and starts flipping...
