    Yea... Lifters! I dropped my motor a few years ago for the rocker gaskets, fan replacement , header coating and oil gear upgrade. Sounded good before. Well.... A few months later and she starts going "tick tick tick" Just got all my parts in last week to replace the lifters and everything...

    What's the DOT # The last 4 of the full number will give you the date they were made. I.e- last 4 read "1209 First 2 digits are week, 3rd and 4th digits are year. They were made the 12th week of 2009

    Oil I've always used Mobil 1 20/50 in engine and Harley formula + in trans. But I bought amsoil for both holes this next change. The oil pump gear changed in 06 I think. I upgraded my 03 with it. But you can so something to visually inspect before digging in. I can't remember if you look...
