    Just received my NEW OEM stator from one of the 3 local HD dealers and It rocks back and forth a little more than the old on with it being held into place in respect where the screw holes line up.     Just from a manufactures point of view Harley Davidson only produced or made 10,852 XB12S Lightning's 1,755 XB12STT LIGHTNING SUPER TT -2yrs only - they produced or made 10,408 XB12R's FIREBOLT but when or where ever I go or ride I see 3 times more 12R's than 12S's . Marketplace on FACEBOOK...

    Frankenstein Buell XB12R Firebolt 2004 -STATOR IS TOAST.

    Regulator looks fine. Very small cracks on the silicon sealant backing and no corrosion or bluing of connector ends in the harness plugs. Will fully test when new STATOR is delivered via COOTER'S suggestion.-H.D.-ST PAUL....Still in the 90's here so I'm glade it is down so I will want to ride...

    It is the exact same problem. I had it happen 2wice that it won't go into 3rd gear. look at the picture I posted in my post. It shows 3 shift cams with a black arrow where the exact trouble is with 03-05 XB with aluminum shift cam.

    My 2004 XB12R had the transmission get stuck in between going from 2nd to third. Would not go up or down to make a gear change and this is what I found out and what I did to fix the problem. For All 2003 2004 and 2005 XB's all had an ALL Aluminum Shift Cam or Drum and there lies the problem...
