    Oil for Pro-Series Intake Filter?

    Is the Buell Pro-Series Intake filter for the Blast supposed to be an oiled filter like a K&N, or is it dry? Anybody know the cleaning instructions?

    Clarification: I would say it is actually backfiring (light to moderate. Not super loud), not cutting out while revving to warm it up/keep it running. Throw me a bone here guys...no ideas? Is the auto-choke hooked up backwards? Anything I can check?

    2003 Blast currently 3,960 miles. Owned since last Fall at 2,4XX miles. Buell Pro Series intake, Vance&Hines exhaust. No idea how it is jetted because I bough it this way. Bike is extremely hard to start when cold (I'm in SoCal, so it doesn't freeze overnight or anything) drained the battery...

    jakub7: No thanks, its hard enough being speed limited by the setup I have. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something wrong. I'll ask about my other issues in other posts!

    Out here in the Southwest the speed limits are higher. 70 or 75 in AZ desert. 65 in CA, but everybody speeds. Driving slower than 65 might get me run over on this little thing. Only thing I passed on the trip was the occasional semi that wasn't grossly speeding. I did hit 90 breifly once...

    It sounds like you guys need to fill up the tank higher, and additionally, realize that the "reserve" is a whole 1.0 gallons of your 2.8 gallon tank. If you are not filling it up enough, you are running on less than 1.8 gallons for your "full" tank. You can leave the valve on reserve all the...

    Just bought a yellow 2003 Blast from Tucson Harley for $2,000 out the door on Saturday. 2,4XX miles on it when I bought it. V&H exhaust and what appears to be a BUELL intake with a K&N filter (with a shield over its right side). No idea if it has been jetted. Just drove it about 450 miles...
