Getting rid of hot glue residue on the inside of a translucid airbox top

As far as removing the glue, you could try this: https://youtu.be/dNNqSXgj6DE As far as polishing the cover back up, the headlight restoration kits they sell at the automotive stores that go on a power drill work great on all the plastics I've tried them on. Never tried it on Buell plastics...

    Custom Built Buell XB

Hey guys. Putting my Buell up for sale again. I was going to sell it a few years ago, but changed my mind. It is started life as a 2004 XB12R. This is a high quality build. No half assed stuff. I covered the build here several years ago. It currently has 4,399 miles. I have many of the original...

I like it alot. The orange one looks baddass. Cool mechanical linkage on the headlight. Not too much. But different enough. Gives me ideas.

New owner to this bike; tuning questions

It's hard to tell from your post. But the race use only "box" you refer to is the ECM. You seem to be alluding to it as being an add on or extra piggy back type of thing. It replaces the factory ECM. It seems most folks either tune the factory ECM, or replace it with a "race ECM" calibrated to...

    Tubber cafe racer!

I had a 900 Thruxton. It was a fun bike,. But like you mentioned it definitely wasn't a powerhouse. I did get a chance to ride one of the new 1200 Thruxton at a dealer day this summer. Now that is a whole different story! Super nice bike, but spendy. Good luck with your project. I'm sure you...

    A Buell amongst Nortons

Me? It's just a replacement rotor, my original was badly warped. Same size. I rebuilt the caliper. Stops fine for me on the street. Don't see any reason to upgrade. The Brembo radial master might I used might help. Love the stopping power and feel.
