Wheres all the cam'ed buells at?

Thanks Kole, thats the type of info Im looking for. I cant even count how many cam swaps, engine builds Ive done for cars, but its really hard to find info for buells. Does rev tech sell everything or just the cams?

Tools you need in the garage

You will find that ratchet wrenches (reversable) are worth their weigh in gold. Being said....DO NOT BUY THE GEAR WRENCH REVERSABLE RATCHET WRENCHES. You can only put them on the bolt through one side due to a stupid design they came up with. They also make them for Craftsman...but ommited the...

Wheres all the cam'ed buells at?

Well Ive always been thick headed and done what Ive wanted to do, not what people advise against, otherwise I wouldnt have a buell in the first place. I like to do things that others wont or dont necessarly like to do. I figure if I cam it, and I dont like it, I can simply replace the stocker...

    Self-tune or have it Dyno'ed?

If you have a shop that you can go to, a dyno tune is always better than an email tune. But, the tuniversity seems pretty legit and another great route. Stay clear of out of the box tunes though.

Wheres all the cam'ed buells at?

Thats great and all but I want to know where the cammed bikes are, not why I shouldnt do it.

Wheres all the cam'ed buells at?

Cams seem like a simple swap for our bikes? Who the hell actually has them? Its on my winter mod list now. I saw that revtech has them for like $400 and you appear to pick up a solid 10hp. Anyone?

    Dyno thread?

Agreed. And dynos do have a variation of correction factors and graph smoothing. But I agree 100% on the fun factor and learning aspect.

    Belt Gaurds...

Theres literally millions of dirty harley riders that dont run belts and some without covers on their primary belts. I see it as a non-issue.

Neutral safety switch....can it be removed???

It should be pretty easy. Find the schematic and bypass it. Logic would tell me that if the bike is not in neutral, there is an open in the circuit that doesnt allow the starter to engage. All you should have to do is jump it so the ignition always thinks the bike is in neutral. It shouldnt need...

    Brake light activation question

You need to adjust your rear switch to your liking. I leave mine a little throw to activate as sometimes I find myself resting my foot on the brake.

    Dyno thread?

Gearing isnt accounted for on a dyno. Thats why your numbers are different if you change rear gears ect ect. All a dynos real purpose is, is to give an indication of power and should not be compared 1 vehicle to the next. Its good for showing power gains and loss from various mods. Furthermore...

    Supercharger/blower versus turbo?

I was gonna say there is no room for a s/c application and well that lazareth proved my point.

    2005 xb12r gauges.

Im selling the instrument cluster off my 2005 xb12r. The odometer is at about 8k. However, there is a crack in the left side of the case that can make the 40mph area difficult to read. Im not going to bother trying to track a new case down for it, so I ordered an aftermarket cluster. Other than...

    Dyno thread?

Are you talking firebolts or everything in general for the track?

    Dyno thread?

Its pretty common in the lsx community that if you dyno a car with say a 3.43:1 gear and then dyno the same car with 4.10:1 gears to lose about 10-15ish hp. But at the lose of hp comes the quicker accelartion. Hence for drag racing a 4.10 gear will lead you to a quicker 60' time and 9 times out...

    Firebolt Evolution

Gotcha, that looks 10,000000000000001 times better than the stock gauge set.
