    Randomly shut off...now nothing.

    Yes! My fuel pump fuse blew when my battery died. Very strange, the bike was starting fine(with a little hesitation as they some times do) but when it was ready, it just shit the bed and left me on the side of the road. Lesson learned......replace battery every 4 years whether it needs it or not .

    Original battery ? The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago and it turned out to be a dead battery. Mine's an '09 too.
