    what's the best way to handle this damage?

    The metal will be too comprimised to work out to a good as new finish. Use a grinder with a high grit flap wheel to "polish" the deep scratches out and then get the header sand blasted all over to get a uniform finish. This will make it look half decent while you save up for new headers :D

    I haven't monitored the battery voltage with it installed but yes its only powered with the key in the ignition and turned to the first "click". The mentos tube has worked out really well. Its pretty much water proof as well. to make it fully waterproof I should really put some silicone sealant...

    I have fitted those LED indicators Dannenvance. I think they are great for the money and are really bright even in the day. Mriulvr yes you need an LED relay for these I did the chip leg removal as Way has posted but i would recomend using an LED specific relay like this...

    Ha ha i did exactly the same, well sort of............. I built my bluetooth adapter with the detail found on this site and then housed it in a mentos case which i have zip tied to my fuse box between the fuse box and the seat catch. I just leave it in there now and data log when ever i fancy it...

    temperature gauge??

    I have been looking at doing this myself but not really seen any posts about doing it. I have been thinking of using a digital guage and tapping in to the cylinder head temp sender wire. I was looking at this guage but would like something a little smaller digital guage

    some interesting battery info from Deka

    I fitted a Deka Intimidator ETX14 Power Sports AGM battery last month and I cant complain at all. Read some good reviews about it and after fitting it I am glad I did :D

    Yeah I noticed the suspension is Showa which for me is great as I have rebuilt quite a few Showa forks with my Honda's. I keep discovering a new trick item or clever part of design every time I work on it. Really loving this Buell :-)
