I fear I may have been screwed...

Well after 5 months of every once in a while thinking "damn that guy in Africa", I received my headlights back today in the mail. Labelled U/C RTS or Y/C RTS, not sure. I know RTS is return to sender, not sure the other... So maybe he didn't necessarily screw me, but I am out $30, maybe...

    5-0dro.com Closing

Sad to hear this Sandro, but understandable. You were a great person to do business with and made great products at reasonable prices. I wouldn't have ever bought anything from you if that weren't true, I'm just too cheap (ask my friends from the dragon trips...) Good luck to you

THIEF LURKING in the BUELL COMMUNITY-BE ON FULL ALERT!

Man sounds like the buyer was pretty foolish but still sucks people do this ****. I get screwed every now and again but it's usually $20 or $30 bucks here and there that I know I have a chance of losing (just happened a few months ago again on this forum). But man I'd never hang $3k on a limb...

Brembo rear "hidden" caliper mod, list of calipers

I rebuilt the caliper before install. What's happening is as it wears to the L shape since it overhangs the rotor, the lip hangs on the rotor and the pad "sticks". At no fault of the caliper though...

Brembo rear "hidden" caliper mod, list of calipers

So I recently discovered that my brembo hidden caliper does not align perfectly as it should. The brake pad hangs off the rotor by maybe 1/16" to 1/8" and as it wore the pad has a lip that overhangs the rotor. So the pad is sort of L shaped. It hangs up on the rotor a bit and basically always...

    WD-40 to lube throttle housing?

That thing works decent. I bought the same thing a while ago for the buell. I just used it on my mower though the other day and it worked great :)

    WD-40 to lube throttle housing?

The best way to clean/lube cables I found is to completely remove them, clean them up as best you can, and hang the cable. Take ziplock bags (one on each end) and poke the cable through on the top bag and masking tape all around the hole to seal it. Fill that top bag up with oil (I use motor...

Not about a Buell but DIY related

This is why I do all my own work. I took a look at my brother's mazda 3 that was leaking oil recently and the drain plug was stripped. It's a $20 oil change for a reason...

    XB9R riding position, rearset question

buell lightning (ulysses are also the same I believe) pegs will give a 1" drop which sounds minor but helps a ton. I'm 6'4" and have a firebolt that I did this peg swap on and it was night and day for leg comfort. Highly recommend. I also put slip on grips over the stock grips which helps a...

    T-Rex strapless tie down system?

10-4 I was kind of thinking the same thing. I may buy on amazon and can always return... Sandro, do you feel the sliders are strong enough to support the bike? I may take you up on that Ryan... BTW my brother is most likely not going with us to the dragon, FYI.

    T-Rex strapless tie down system?

Here's their response: Is your rear axle slider/spools strong enough to hold your bike? The wide of the part that clamps to the spool/axle block slider is 22,6mm (57/64"). the slot on your bike is too small (3/8"-->9.5mm) and it may cause the bike vibrate so much. Thanks, T-Rex Racing Inc...
