    Illinois Buellers!

I live in Northern Illinois, so I'm just throwing this out there... But two events I always go every year may be a great place to ride to and meet up. Check out the links. One that may be close to our Indiana brethren would be, Rocker vs Mods - Chicago, on June 14th & 15th. Rocker vs Mods...

Hey J20tD Unfortunately I have not your bike running around. Small world in our area… (I live off of Cedar Creek Rd) Maybe you seen me and my O’Lady’s bikes, 05’ XB Red High Voltage Lighting w/Blk Wheels or an 06’ XB White Colored Lightning? I saw from your post you were in Grayslake. I...

    Illinois Buellers!

I'm in Lake County, Illinois, and live in Lake Villa. That's kinda far, but I don't mind long Suday rides if people want to meet up for breakfast-lunch.

Help! I don't want to take my bike to the shop

Pull the air box off and look into the throttle body. Open up the butterfly. Look to where the butterfly closes against the throttle body. Make sure there is no grimy buildup of gunk or obstruction holding the butterfly open. I know you said you changed the intake seals, so I figured you would...

    Which boots do you run?

I have the Alpinestars and Sidi... Both seem to be a little small if you purchase them with the intent of using them as a street boot. The Alpinestar is great, but on mine the ankle joint makes a wierd popoing noise when I walk. The Sidi is also great and do not make any joint noises.

    Broken Rear Axle!

morrow, I don't think a propane torch will get hot enough. They do make MAP torch (looks like a propane torch but runs much hotter and be bought at Home Depot for about the same as a propane) that may work, but it has a very broad tip. I have a small fabricating / machine shop at my disposal...

    Broken Rear Axle!

I second what HammerBuell has said. Going to have to use an Oxy-Acetylene torch (With the right tip you can pin point the heat.) as it will get hot enough expand the metal with pin-point accuracy. That way it will break loose the corrosion holding the two metals together. I had an axle in a...

How many guys (and gals?) have more than one bike?

Nah, this rig doesn't get dirty. I was into wheel'in for a while. Used a lot of busted up, beat up trackers for that. (Light makes right. If it get wreaked it doesn't matter.) This one was made from my grandma's car. ( Still only has 29,000 miles on it.) I don't have the heart to beat it up...

    Found "New" Voltage Body Kit

Thanks for the comments guys. As far as I know the Buell “Voltage” Body Kit was offered up to the 2007 Buell accessory Catalog. I wish I could find the Heel and License Bracket in the Voltage Set, but that was offered as individual items to be purchased. (Was not part of the Body Kit – Tank...
