    Rear 02 sensor error

ok so this morning I made some time to look at it. Pulled the entire airbox, checked cables for chafing , reseated everything I could access. Added a ground to the rear coilpack mount. Hooked up the Buelltooth and this is the readings. Oh and while I was at it, I did a TPS reset.

    Rear 02 sensor error

Well I didnt get a chance to check yesterday, but the trip home gave no CEL. Hopefully the weekend will give me more time.

    Rear 02 sensor error

Thanks Barrett. If I didnt see the CEL , I wouldnt have known it happened, so no performance issues of any sort. My AFV has always been within 10% of 100, but I did not check that specifically, will do so if it happens again. I did have the ground under the seat off earlier this week, I will...

    Rear 02 sensor error

Hi guys. '06 XB9SX, 80000km. On my way home last night , and again on my way to work this morning, the CEL came on for about 5 km, then went off. Bueltooth showed a stored rear 02 sensor error. Is this likely a component failure in process, or should I be looking at a possible wiring issue ? Thanks.

    Error code 33

Hilarious..you guys. Anyway , to wrap this up, I spent all of 5 minutes testing the loom, then decided to save time and pulled the pump. Guilty party found. Cut, heat shrink and soldered, then covered all the wires up before putting it all back. It even primes properly now.

Brilliant, thanks for that. My weekend is now planned. Just as an FYI, my surname is Barrett.

    Error code 33

Thanks for the responses. AFV is at 92, and fuel consumption is acceptable, I run on average 19km/l. Highway speed usually at 4,500 rpm which gives a clock speed of 135km/h. The CEL only came on for a fraction of a second, but was recorded and is an active code #33 currently. I will tackle it...

    Error code 33

To give some background, my fuel pump has not switched off after priming for some years now, it just runs constantly. It hasn't caused me any concern so I've left it. Today on my way home I had a brief flash of the CEL and it missed a beat , followed immediately by the low fuel warning light...

    Voltage anomaly

 Yip, and now I know that too. Google didnt find that one, or maybe my search criteria wasnt up to scratch. either way its fixed, thats the important thing. Thanks again to all those willing to advise.

    Voltage anomaly

Nailed the bugger. Since the issue was low voltage at the key switch, I traced the wiring back to the fusebox, where I measured 13 Ohms between the 2 points. That would certainly give me the voltage drop I saw. I suspected a bad joint, and wriggling the wires behind the front panel revealed...

    Voltage anomaly

Thanks all. I am fortunate to have my wife's '05 model to swap parts with as necessary. I did check each fuse by removing it and using a multi-meter. The relays I did swap around with no change. The only grounds I found were the battery ground to the side rail, and on the opposite side rail, two...

    Voltage anomaly

Hi guys. Got a real strange one here. First some background 2006 XB9SX Around 70 000 km. Used as my daily commuter approx 85km per day Replaced VR ,stator and battery 2 years ago. Shes been perfect electrically, but I parked her the whole of last week due to a leaking aftermarket exhaust issue...

It is possible that that the studs are not screwed all the way in. They sometimes turn out when removing the nuts.

Drive belt- is it time ?

2006 XB9SX, 65000km. Original belt as far as I know. Is it time to replace, and if so where should I be looking ?

    Dragging clutch

Just as a final piece on this saga. I've been riding the bike for roughly a year like this, and in the past month its started dragging again. So this week I replaced the clutch discs and we all back to a fully functioning clutch. I noticed the pull on the clutch lever is lighter as well, I...

    Laid it down..help!

Thats the switch for the rear brake light, If the wires that broke off from the switch are isolated, they will not impact the starting at all.

Burnt out stator and testing regulator

Just to bring this to a close. I purchased a 5 wire 45 Amp generic regulator from a motorcycle auto electrician, had the stator rewound again, fitted it all and been riding now for a week with no issues. At rest the battery sits at about 12,4V and charges at 14,2V. Right now I'm calling the...
