    Nasty vibration at 4000RPM

Buellybag.. checked your primary chain lately? from my experience there is a definite sweet spot with the adjustment.. too tight, when hot, it will whine a bit.. a bit looser than factory specs, (some)will harmonically vibrate at or near 4000.. way loose and it makes a bunch of noise. A...

    an alternative?

I double checked, it is on a lightning... yeah, we're all hoping for an affordable FRP version.. if they wanted to move a few units, they'd produce one.. that carbon fiber version at 400+ is just way too pricey!

    Input- 08 XB12Scg 636miles

Nice bike, congrats! but , wow you weren't kidding about it being dirty! can't say that I've ever seen one that bad, (outside of a uly) that just screams pure, utter neglect(some people, I'll tell ya).. I would soak the thing with a hose for the better part of a day to soften all the crud...

    Ground Wire Locations for XB?

Absolutely!.. it's good you brought that up, Christian.. a guy can take it even further to the steering head frame ground and really eliminate any potential grounding (earth path) issues.

    03 XB9R Engine - Only 5014 miles!!!

Title issues.. more often than not. But it looks like paulpuds bike has cosmetic issues(sat outside, corrosion)that wouldn't warrant much value in an outright sale being an 03'.. therefor the part-out to maximize return.. as sad as it always is

    Ground Wire Locations for XB?

Thanks for that thrstmech, I forgot to answer his initial question, lol! There is also a ground point on the frame at the steering head.. check and clean the tie-bar ground strap and coil ground(s) also.

    Rider Down

RJ, yeah, it gave me a pretty weird feeling seeing this.. I've been through that intersection many times, and yeah, it's easy to carry alot of speed through there because it's a big, open area.. I hope that wasn't the case. Just looks like he had "0" reaction time.. Next time I ride though...

    XB electrical maintainance, (look here>>>)

Hey fella's, here's something I thought I would share that really works.. on my Buells, I dab a bit of "Corrosion Block" product on all the grounds and "paint" a light amount on pins and sockets when I have them apart, especially the 77 and other connections inside the pulley cover.. this...

    Ground Wire Locations for XB?

On my Bikes, I dab a bit of "Corrosion Block" product on all the grounds and "paint" a light amount on pins and sockets when I have them apart, especially the 77 and other connections inside the pulley cover.. this stuff has the consistency of say, hydraulic oil.. and it kills, dissolves...

Tuner Pro, ECMSPY, spark knock/detonation, exhuasts...

Eric has a very good point ^^here^^.. have you performed a tps reset yet? it is easy on your DDF3 08'... some guys do it every few tanks of gas.. timing is controlled/set through your ECM (manually adjustable on pre 08's), and of course, it is paramount to establish there are no peripheral...
