Floating idle last issue post big bore, any ideas?

I walked into the store and gave them Duralast part# TPS213 and they didn't have that (or the Wells part you linked to) in stock but the cross reference had two, one for $38 and one for $40 something and they both looked identical, it installed and calibrated fine. I have a stand alone...

Trouble changing maps with dongle and ecmdroid on XB12

Ok, I think I know what you have going on. The file has to be in the same directory as where your stock tune was downloaded to. The Buelltooth guide assumes you have an SD card when it gives the directory structure, if you don't the directory structure is different. My tablet has no SD card, so...

Floating idle last issue post big bore, any ideas?

The metal bits were all from Hammer, who provides great service but is up front that they serve the Sportster market and the parts happen to also fit the Buells. I get it, the Sportster market is huge and Buell is small. I tried several steps today, but the fix was a few things that were...

Trouble changing maps with dongle and ecmdroid on XB12

Does the firmware version on the tune you have match the version on your ECU? There is an identifier with something like BUEIC or BUEIB etc. Both should, must, be the same.

Floating idle last issue post big bore, any ideas?

After riding off the break in miles I started running it harder and working on the tuning to see what I could get done on my own. So far AFRs are good across the board, there is no knock, and performance/ responsiveness is excellent. The one issue that I am not ready to hang on the tuning just...

New to me 2006 XB12s, minor cleanup and adjustments, some input could help

Big progress was made today, I started the motor with its new build! Pics will follow of course but for now it is boring old text. After allot of thinking about it I decided to do a middle of the road build since I have the EBR for the big power bracket. I wanted a strong runner but with good...

    Will H4 LED bulbs work?

I have not but I think these fan type units are a stop gap technology, if you believe their ratings they will stay powered on for about 3.5 years continuous but I doubt fans will survive mud and water for that long. I figure if they need replacement in 3~5 years of normal riding that by then...

    Will H4 LED bulbs work?

Correct, you can't use the rubber piece but don't need it because the vents need to be exposed for cooling.

2006 xb12ss stalling at cruising sped

So, I own a 355F1 that has the antenna wire running down the center of the glass. I walked into the garage one morning and saw that there was a silvery line down the center of the window and I was sure it split in half by magic. The window was 4k and the rubber surround was "call for price " and...

    Will H4 LED bulbs work?

The ones I picked up were plug ins with no adapter needed.

Drummer exhaust, what exactly is it?

Ah, thanks for the background on it. Even if I swap to something lighter its a keeper.

Drummer exhaust, what exactly is it?

My 06 Buell XB12Ss came with a Drummer exhaust and I am very pleased with the sound and the company that put together my jugs/pistons/cams/heads/etc. package likes the properties and matched the setup to it. The only objection I have is that it weights a ton compared to a custom stainless setup...

New to me 2006 XB12s, minor cleanup and adjustments, some input could help

I had a very productive discussion with the guys at Hammer Performance, they said that their parts fit the Sportster of which there are many, but also fit the Buell that are rare and decreasing which makes a software (tune) uneconomical. That made me think, why fight the Buell ECU when a...

New to me 2006 XB12s, minor cleanup and adjustments, some input could help

Thanks for replying! I have always loved sport bikes, and Harley engines, and the Buell is really the perfect bike for me. I am not trying to turn it into something it isn't, if I wanted the fastest thing out there I would just get a Busa and turbo it which could be done in a weekend and there...

New to me 2006 XB12s, minor cleanup and adjustments, some input could help

The LEDs have a few hours on them now and so far so good, they light every time and are worlds better than the yellow candles that were in there stock. I found a set of mirrors and they work nicely, and have integrated turn signals. I don't mind spending the money or the effort to go with the...

New to me 2006 XB12s, minor cleanup and adjustments, some input could help

Has anyone got much experience or knowledge of the NRHS 1440cc big bore? http://www.nrhsperformance.com/ekitbuellxb12r.shtml And, the Ti Force exhaust seems to be no longer listed on the manufacturer's site, anyone know about availability of this?

New to me 2006 XB12s, minor cleanup and adjustments, some input could help

The LEDs I got were these, I was hoping to avoid a fan and there are a number of fanless ones on the market now but their various heatsinks would not fit in the area available. That will certainly change soon as these things are evolving seemingly on a daily basis...

New to me 2006 XB12s, minor cleanup and adjustments, some input could help

I had some spare time this week so I put some work into the Buell. I installed LED headlights, gutted out all the sketchy resistors and modded the blinker to work with the LED turn signals, installed the lithium battery, new seat leather, and all the carbon fiber bits I could find. Still in the...
