12.0:1 High comp pistons for thunderstorm heads

The thunderstorm heads have a 30 deg. machined squish chamber and the XB heads use a flat squish area so the piston has to be matched to the head your using. www.woessner-usa.com has the correct pistons your looking for.

    S3 Engine toast?

You didn't say what rpm it was at while laying down so lets assume at idle. A roller bearing crank which all tube framed Buells are should live longer than that without oil pressure at idle speed. Oil pump maby sucked some air and now the lifters need to pump up?

Ok motor heads, time to educate me

mtnmason they were called twingles and used on the loose tracks. You needed to change the cam timing also. The ideal was to get the power stroke part of crank rotation out of the way so the tire would have more time to hook up.

If the fan has oil on it the rear rocker box gasket is leaking oil. When the fan gets oil on it they usually fail.

Motosport.com has good prices on front & rear combos. Had 8400 miles on the stock pirelli rear before seeing the cord break through. Very happy with RP2 Michelin tires have 9500 miles on a set and just about down to the wear bars.
