2009 Buell XB12SCG, Runs rough when warm

Years ago, I downloaded all that I saw and have been saving them for a day like this. Hope this helps. https://www.tigert.us/index.php/s/FgJCqdjaXPfyssE P.S. I am NOT responsible for your bike, nor for any damage incurred. I didn't create these, I downloaded them from buellmods.com a long...

    Front rotor alignment mark?

Beads work really well up to about 120 mph. People have opinions about them - I have experience. They work and they provide a glass smooth ride.

    Public Thanks

Hey, I'm of the opinion that I can contribute to this community in a number of ways, and one is to call out those who've been very helpful to me for the past few years since owning a Buell. - Mike Lowary - Seriously, without him, my bike wouldn't be in the condition it's in right now. Also...

Fuel injector wires (?) chewed by mice.

Fact: When I bought my Buell, I rode from Monroe, LA to the DFW, TX area with a massive rat's nest under the airbox cover. I'd like to think it served as extra filter material :P .

Error code 36 Fan issue. Short to ground.

I heard 7/11 takes them for their fountain drinks, or bathroom usage - you're choice.

Nice! It's awesome when you find the real problem, and thanks for sharing your findings.

Beebop - IF you need a new fan, this is the one I bought and moved the motor to the Buell cage, etc. https://a.co/d/cSKqUjT

Been gone long time, stator question

Yeah I need to apologize for not having you circle back to ensure you're following all the troubleshooting steps. Barrett is correct - ANYTIME you are troubleshooting ANYTHING, especially electrical, you MUST follow a systematic, step-by-step procedure, to ensure that you are eliminating each...

Been gone long time, stator question

You can test the relays by swapping them out and looking for voltage changes. You really have to watch those cheap VR's. I didn't heed the warning on the forum(s), and went with an Amazon VR, it was about $60. It was wired in REVERSE! When I connected it, and turned everything on, I heard a...

Been gone long time, stator question

It can be a relay, it could be the stator, it could be a wire, it could be a fuse. I had 2 bad relays, too.

Been gone long time, stator question

If you go to the section in the manual called "CHARGING SYSTEM" (Section 7.7, page 583 in my model's manual), it outlines the steps needed to fully troubleshoot the electrical system. I have used it and was able to fix my bike. It ended up being the VR, and ultimately got a Rick's Hot Shot...

That's a relay, if I'm understanding your comment correctly.

    Spare Parts

Thanks Barrett! Per usual, you're a treasure to our community. I've actually been trying to find some good part #'s for a replacement belt and I'm striking out. I was looking at Gates and Dayco, but I can't find the cross-reference... That said, Wish.com has some AMAZING deals on Buell belts...

    Spare Parts

Take it from me, if you can afford it now, it'll be far more affordable than waiting for later. Get a belt...just rip the ducktape off the back hair and get the belt.

    Throttle and idle cable replacement

Great question! I noticed the same thing with my stock cables and it bothered me a lot. I bought a MotionPro setup to improve everything but I'm wondering if I'll run into the same things when I get my bike put back together.
