Just got an 07 Firebolt XB12

I am not familiar with them myself. Then again I do all my own work so I dont have a lot of experiences with shops around here. If it was me I would just pull the airhorn, get a new plastic scoop, and fix it myself when I have the time. Maybe mount the air horn up under the front fairing or near...

    What shop did the work?

Has anyone built a nice balanced 984cc engine?

The factory race kit was buying a muffler, high flowing air filter, and ECM from the dealer. Closest to that would be a muffler and tune from Dean Adams along with a K&N air filter. I spent $2k on my build from Hammer Performance for my XB12. I am very happy and it just pulls and pulls. Rips my...

fan working at the wrong time

Spot on advice. You ECM is either the BUE1D or BUE2D and has the new fan logic. You can search on here for more information and the differences. If you don't like it you can turn off the table and just run it off temp. EBR used the new fan logic as well.

    Looking for a new seat

Have you thought about taking the seat to a local upholstery shop to get fixed? I have the seat fabric if you want to fix it yourself.

    Burned a valve....

Did you do head work with your big bore kit? I would send them to Hammer to be worked over to compliment the big bore kit install. Are you sure it is bad valve? Were you still running a little lean up top?

    Lithium Ion Batteries (LiOn)

Really. Cause in all reality they suck in the winter, are for drag bikes not for daily riders, require a special charger, typically cost 3 times as much as lead acid, and have a hard time cranking our motors. They certainly have their place where weight reduction is the ultimate goal. But to...

    Airhorn on a Firebolt

I would split the airhorn. Mount the horn up under the front fairing and the compressor behind the battery in the tail. Clean descrete install.

    Help a brother out!

I agree. Lettering makes it too "busy".

I haven't ridden my bike 1 mile this year

Single dad, two kids, travel for work, no commute.. . I feel your pain. Takes me months to do things I would have done in a day or two before work, children, etc. Hard to find time to ride. I have only put on maybe hundred or two hundred miles on mine this year.

    Jimmy the motorcycle

He does some amazing clutchless upshifts. In fact I am amazed on how every shift is without using the clutch! Haha

    First Buell '09 Bolt

I use a Craftsman 3/8 drive in/lbs for small bolts, Harbor Freight 3/8 ft/lbs for standard bolts, and Craftsman 1/2 ft/lbs for the bigger bolts. Don't forget to loctite every thing so they don't rattle loose.
