    I'd say "Lets go!" And even on my 03 9R (sold recently) I'd beat the new HD's. Sure those 103's boogie for about 60mph but even my buddies 127 CI Ultima in a big dog can only beat the 9 for a little while. But that's another reason I have an 05 ZX12R :D

    I would ride by myself for a while to get to know the bike. Sometimes if you are in a group, especially with sportbike riders there may be tendency to try to keep up with faster more experienced riders.

    I wouldn't pay more than $2000 for a Blast, $1500 is a good range. Hell, for $3000 you can get older XB's now a days.

    An Astro van has a lot of space. What kind of van do you have? I moved my XB9R in an 94 Olds Silhouette, had to angle it and the front tire was pushed up into the back of the drivers seat but it made 350 miles no problem.

    Manufacturers in the U.S. are only legally bound to 7 years of parts, so Tubers are SOL. Don't confuse the local dealer with HD, they are not the same. The dealer is not bound to anything, if parent HD is not stocking parts, the dealer is just as screwed as you are.

    I'd like to see a better Blast section over here. I like some of the modded ones I've seen. Heck wouldn't mind finding a dirt cheap one and doing a cafe racer style bike one day. I know there's not a lot of stuff on here and there are limitations to how we can post, search and attach things...

    I quite like the Ducati Multi Strada, have heard nothing but raves about it. My first "New" bike was my 916 Duc and I loved it. I knew what I was getting into and paid cash for it and while the valve adjustments and service was costly I have never regretted it.
