    Well.....Bye.

Thanks for the info, Barrett, More than that, thanks for steering me in the XR direction. Your windscreen is just right so I am hunting around for one. I will keep the addons simple--just some room for a bit of kit and a sleeping bag. This is a whole new experience for me and I am quite...

    Well.....Bye.

Yes, 34, That is the very bike. So far a good ride, although I have only done 50-60 miles. Some obvious needs--one being a bit of a windscreen and then have to sort out a luggage deal. The right side pipes get in the way of any saddle bags for sure as do the X Shocks. Very spirited...

    Yup, both gone—no regrets(yet) Opto

    Well.....Bye.

34 Never did figure out the picture thing --I am pretty sure it happened as I have been riding around on it--not a dream. Anyway, it is Black Opto

    Well.....Bye.

Well do not know where to put this so I will go with the bye bye thread. Smiles on Saturday last at the local H-D dealer. The mechanics there had huge smiles riding around on my EBR and the Uly. I had a smile putting the XR1200X into my truck and heading home. So it is good bye Buell and all...

    Well.....Bye.

I must say I am impressed, Cooter--All the gear and everything looking good. And good for Bubbles. We had frost on the fields yesterday--

    New Buell for me.

34--I got that--and the XR1200 is in the middle. Yes and some of the late XLCH's had the electric start and one year had both. Some how I missed the XR1200--seems like a good choice. They are out there from $5-8K. You told me the Roadster is like carrying a passenger around on the Uly--ha ha.

    New Buell for me.

Well, 34, I am not familiar with the XLCX designation so lets go with the XLCH. The why is 'cause no electrical system to speak of, kick start, gravity fuel supply--primitive. Has a big appeal, and I am not in too much of a hurry these days. My trips are more aimed towards camping and...

    New Buell for me.

Just for nothing, but what the heck--anybody want to swap an XLCH for my EBR? 34--good luck with your meltdown motor. Barrett, since you tried to kill me with that lever deal, you owe me one. Opto

    New Buell for me.

34, Well you just weren't using your head. Instead of mucking about with the old frapped out XB you could be roaring down the freeway on my(your) EBR 1190RX at 150mph enjoying the big double overhead cam sensation. Probably could have had mine for what it will cost you to get the XB up to...

2020 AMA Champion on the new Buell 1190HCR

Not to worry, 34--The breakdown in Burns was back in Mid-August. Ancient History now. But there is a new fuel pump in place and I figured out how to install it. Cooter, I am being my own mechanic out here in the boonies. Even you get stumped :) I lied--I just remembered another breakdown...

2020 AMA Champion on the new Buell 1190HCR

Thanks, 34--no problem, my skin is sorta tuff. Appreciate your take on the Roadster.. Very useful--I figured the Uly was more powerful and lively.. Barrett suggested I go with the XR1200--thoughts? I am just trying to lighten up without getting beat up too bad is all. I thought the XR1200...

2020 AMA Champion on the new Buell 1190HCR

Tough crowd here, that is for sure. I will probably just keep the EBR and have it for visitors and friends to ride around on. Meantime "Many are the afflictions of the righteous" Opto

2020 AMA Champion on the new Buell 1190HCR

3419, All the master cylinder issues have been resolved. The local HD guy offered $6500 for the Uly and the EBR on a trade in. The online listings for the EBR range from 4-7K so there is that. Yes always some wishful thinking on my part but $4,000 would be nice. You could always buy...

2020 AMA Champion on the new Buell 1190HCR

buell Schmuell--I bought my EBR on the special $16,000 special deal in 2014. What a rip. Something about Hero motors and devious Indians and over night my bike was worth Jack. And an orphan. I talked to several dealers and they were majorly choked at the whole deal. Maybe it will be a...

    2006 Ulysses For Sale

Actually Endo, I am over on the Olympia Peninsula. Way less rain in my zone. If you head West from my place you get into the rain forest and that is like 60+inches of rain/year. We are in what is called the Blue Hole. If you ever get back up here PM me. Opto

2006 XB12R turns over but won't start after sitting several years

Hoolie, What do mean a neighborhood that motorcycles are not allowed. Never heard of such nonsense--Why would you even move to such a place? Anyhow, I recently replaced my fuel pump on the '09 Uly. I didn't mess with rebuilding, taking it apart at all--just bit the bullet and bought a new...
