Engine running too lean for over 4 years

XB do not run lean. In CL the mixture is stoich, in OL OLL will prevent them from running lean. edit: typo

DDFI-3 tuning with stock o2 sensor

... and you won't get CL adjustments if CL is mapped correctly. But you will, if not, and your OL/WOT tuning is ruined.

    XB9R High AFV Need Help

Given the fact that AFV is calculated in CL (ignoring OLL, which is also clearly visible in the logs), wideband O2 will tell, that the mixture is stoich, and would be a waste of money and effort. Everything to adjust the map and fix AFV is shown in the dynamic maps of EcmSpy...

    Megalogviewer VE / tuning

MLV "autotuning" does not work for DDFI. Using the dynamic maps of EcmSpy is highly recommended, fixing the map in CL is easy then: http://ecmspy.com/ug_mono/V2.0/tuning.shtml Locking or limiting AFV is not helpfull when tuning, and with a baro sensor installed, AFV will remain constant when...

New here + questions about gear indicator programming

From what I seem to remember, the problem was often caused by the speedo signal frequency being too high for some gear indicators. Many expect one or two pulses per full turn of the front sprocket, Buells send more than 40 (IIRC).

XB 12 2005 Is afflicted too of oil pump gear failure?

For Europe the answer is yes, oil pump gears typically fail around 16.000 - 35.000 km (or never). Contact luckyhands.de because he manufactures fail-proof/undestroyable oil pump gears. No idea, who's distributing them in Italy, probably american-bikes.it might know because they maintained Buells...

Check AFV, probably went through the roof when out of gas.

Difference between race ecm and stock?

Most probably because someone paid for it.

Difference between race ecm and stock?

At least B2RIB is different from BUEIB firmware. Didn't check for B3R types.

    tuning / race map help

If a leak would provide 10% too much air, then idle speed would go through the roof, as the leak would not get smaller with dropping rpms.

    B2RIB eeprom is needed

You can't use a B2RIB eeprom on any other ECM than a real factory race ECM, as the firmware is different. The P&A race ECM has BUEGB firmware installed with a different parameterization. There is no race ECM for DDFI-2 with a later firmware then BUEGB.

    modifying AFR tables??

As mentioned already, there are no AFR maps in any DDFI ECM, therefore EcmSpy will ignore any AFR tables found in map files. Using the dynamic maps from EcmSpy will give you all informationen required to adjust the fuel maps.
  14. G

08 Fuel tables...can they be modified to include more data points?

EEPROM data does not contain firmware, just the parametrization.

General tuning options and discussion in 2017 (ECMDRoid,ECMSpy etc...)

B2RIB is a factory race ECM, supporting a quick shifter, which differs this one from street version BUEIB. An ECM with a part # of BX1PA21GB231 is a plain GB231 with a parameterization for the race exhaust, from the Parts & Accessory catalogue (hence "PA"). B2RIB has "race only" engraved, the...

General tuning options and discussion in 2017 (ECMDRoid,ECMSpy etc...)

Sorry, but that is not true. EcmSpy will prevent the user from flashing EEPROM data to a non-fitting ECM. As a matter of fact, ECMdroid has just inherited the algorithm from EcmSpy. TunerPro, indeed, is not capable to check the right ECM firmware version and will blindly copy all data from the...

DDFI-3 tuning with stock o2 sensor

XB and 1125 share the same hardware and firmware, but with different parametrization.
  18. G

DDFI-3 tuning with stock o2 sensor

Each firmware that supports a front AFV also supports (has to support) an independent front CL. E.g. http://ecmspy.com/cgi-bin/detail.cgi?ecm=90&offset=368

DDFI-3 tuning with stock o2 sensor

The problem with population the dynamic maps is to break down the EGO corr value, found in the runtime data record, on those (up to) four cells, where the current operating point lies, because it's still unknown how the ECM weights neighbour cells in the map. And it's impossible to compensate a...
