Oil Drain problems solved forever ....

Nice, but I like that magnet trap on the oil plug. I also like to inspect it every oil change.

    Serious "no hands" question

To take a little break on long trips I occasionally go one-handed and sometimes no-handed (with the throttle locked). I steer with my knees and leaning a little. I also stand up on the foot pegs to give the butt a rest, sometimes as long as a minute or two.

    CRASHED MY BIKE

I feel your pain ... I had someone with very dim brake lights come to a complete stop very quickly in front of me in a 55mph zone. I went up on the front wheel also as I kept grabbing brake as the van kept getting closer ... I hit the Van with my helmet, right shoulder and the bikes handlebars...

    whats the longest......

I let mine leak for awhile, then it let go kind of fast while I was on a short overnight trip with it. It made a big mess, and I had to really keep an eye on the oil level on the way home. It also did ruin my fan. In hindsight I probably would have fixed it right away.

    Possible common problem

Some bikes use it, depends on where the new bike was being shipped (like California). I think sometimes a charcoal canister gets hooked to it.

    Possible common problem

Those little rubber caps don't stay either. I picked up a little box of them at the auto parts store, and they kept disappearing off the throttle body. I personally never noticed a difference in the way the bike ran, just didn't like it unplugged. I finally just put a little JB weld on it to...

Man that's a crazy place to put that pin. They are almost asking for it to fail.

It was with mine. The block didn't help. Here's what mine looked like, it was hard to detect: crack on gray connector on ECM

ulysses gets hot and dies help!!!!!

Has the ECM been relocated? If not, that's for sure where I would look first. When the bike gets hot the seat plastic gets more flexible and puts more pressure on the ECM connectors, that's what happened to my bike. I replaced about everything before I figured it out.

ulysses gets hot and dies help!!!!!

Sometimes the damage is not as obvious as that. I didn't find my ecm damage until I pushed on the connector a little and a crack showed up under bright sunlight.

    Plug on throttle body.

That little plastic cap keeps coming off ... just like the original did, that zip tie idea is a good one. I put a dab of JB weld on mine and it fixed the problem.
